Ingredients
- 500 grams chicken wings

For the Breading
- ½ cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
For the Soy Garlic Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
Steps:
- Prepare the chicken wings; place this in a bowl with calamansi, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well and marinate for 30 minutes.
- For the breading; in a container mix together all purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Coat the chicken in the breading.
- Heat oil in a pan at medium heat. Once it bubbles add in the chicken and fry these for 12 minutes. Flip if needed. Take this out to rest for 10 minutes.
- After, fry again for 2 – 3 minutes at high heat. Take these out and set aside.
- For the sauce; in a new pan melt butter, saute garlic, then add soy sauce, sugar, and water. Simmer till slightly reduced.
- Add the fried chicken into the sauce. Mix till the chicken is fully coated with the sauce. Serve garnished with sliced green onions. Enjoy!
