Dampa-Style Butter Shrimp Recipe:

Ingredients :

  • 500 grams shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ cup Sprite
  • Slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water)
  • Fried garlic (optional)
  • Spring onion (optional)

Steps:

  1. Clean, remove the whiskers, and devein the shrimp using a toothpick.
  2. In a pan, add in oil, melt the butter, and saute the garlic. Add in salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Pour in oyster sauce, ketchup, and sugar. Mix well.
  4. Add in Sprite and mix till it slightly thickens into a sauce. Place in the shrimps and cook for 3 – 5 minutes till most of them have turned pink.
  5. Mix the slurry and pour it into the pan. Mix till the sauce turns thick. Take this off the heat and serve garnished with fried garlic and spring onions.

Mga Sangkap :

  • 500 gramo hipon
  • 1 kutsarang mantika
  • ¼ tasa mantikilya
  • 6 butil ng bawang (tinadtad)
  • Asin at paminta panlasa
  • 3 kutsarang oyster sauce
  • 1 kutsarang ketchup
  • 1 kutsarang asukal

Paano Lutuin :

  1. Linisin, tanggalan ng mga balbas, at idevein ang hipon gamit ang toothpick.
  2. Sa kawali, lagyan ng mantika, tunawain ang mantikilya, at lutuin ang bawang. Dagdagan ng asin at paminta panlasa.
  3. Isama ang oyster sauce, ketchup, at asukal. Haluin ng mabuti.
  4. Idagdag ang Sprite at haluin hanggang kumapal ito ng konti. Ialagay ang mga hipon at lutuin ng  – 5 minito o hanggang magkulay rosas ito.
  5. Gumawa ng slurry at ihalo ito sa kawali. Haluin hanggang kumapal ang sarsa. Tanggalin sa init at dekorasyonan ng pritong bawang o dahon ng sibuyas.
