The Bees and The Honey

If we got someone to thank for for our honey, then it would definitely be the bees. I know there are a lot of fake honeys out there, but let’s still dedicate this blog article to our very hardworking and ever dedicating bees.

The first time I saw someone selling a honeycomb in the market, I actually thought he was selling “tutong” or burnt rice. My curious self thought, “why is he selling burnt rice?” I asked my mom about it and she told me that it was honeycomb.

My first thought of a honeycomb is the octagon shape since it is the one taught to us in class. It is an eye opening experience to see an actual honeycomb! Luckily there are no bees in that honeycomb since I have been seeing videos of people stung by bees and it does not look good (haha).

If you are curious on how the bees makes the honey, then let me tell you. If you think that the bees are pooping these honey, then you’re definitely wrong. Those bees you see “kissing” the flowers? Yeah, they are real. These bees collects the plant nectar and carry those to their hive (the honeycomb). As they put the honey, they had added natural enzymes, enough to make these nectar into honey. The bees close the specific part of the hive to store the honey.

Now, bees are now cultivated to make honey. And, there are no shortages in honey no matter how hard these bees work for it because some honeys are fake — they are just colored sugar. Beware of this and make sure you only buy legit honey.

I am watching the Bee Movie which made me crave for some honey flavored dish. Every second that honey is showed in the screen, I am more and more craving on it. I am still in the middle of the movie and I had to pause it for a while to cook.

If you are also searching for a quick honey based recipe on the ocean of chicken breast recipes, then this is the perfect dish for you. Fried boneless chicken covered in honey based sauce might be the best recipe for chicken breast for this, but since we are tight on the time, let’s cook the chicken whole.

As soon as I got my chicken breast, I knew I need to fully force the sauce into it so making some slits is a hack. Once I am done cooking as this was quick chicken breast recipes, I went back to my movie night and enjoyed my honey garlic chicken. Best paired with hot steaming rice but for tonight, I’ll eat it as a steak. Super yummers!

If you wanna know how to make some honey garlic chicken at home, read and follow the simple steps below. Happy cooking!

How to Cook Honey Garlic Chicken Breast

Making some honey garlic chicken is way easier than you expected. This dish can be done in less than 30 minutes!

Start with making criss cross slits on the chicken. This is done so that more of the sauce to sip in better. Add all the marinade ingredients and massage it well until every inch is coated.

Then, sear the chicken for a few minutes to seal its juices and have a nice crust. Then, pour the marinade and let the chicken cook in it. When almost all of the sauce has been absorbed by the chicken, add the butter and then baste when it melts.

The honey garlic chicken is now ready. I really love to enjoy this like a steak and with mashed potatoes, but this is also best paired with hot steaming rice. Yum!
