These are because bananas are rich in potassium, which have health benefits such as improving blood pressure, and keep the cardiovascular system from straining, bananas also have lectin which is a protein in bananas that prevent the growth of leukemia cells. Banana ‘pudding-cake’ like hybrid
The Banana and egg combo in the dessert world is very common; the amount of ingredients, and effort, and methods varies from each recipe. The Banana pudding for example has bananas, eggs, sugar, flour, that’s steamed or oven baked, sometimes banana pudding has a mix of cream, gelatin, bananas, and sweetener that’s frozen overnight into a frozen pudding.
This low effort recipe only calls for 3 ingredients, plus the homemade caramel syrup as a side option. And just with these 3 – 5 pieces of components, you can already make you a nice dessert. The Banana pudding-cake is a mix of baking and freezing methods, the baking or steaming in this recipe are needed to cook the eggs, which when blended with the milk creates a gelatin like texture, including the banana that adds the flavor and sweetness, topped or cooked with caramel that gives a nice sweet and beautiful color. Chilled in the fridge for some time to finally form and harden into a nice decadent dessert.

A sweet easy to do snack with just 3 ingredients
2 – 3pieces of bananas
1 large egg
1 cup milk
- Caramel Sauce
2/3 cup white sugar
¼ cup water
- Optional: to prepare the topping; on a pan at medium heat, add sugar and water, leaving this alone till it takes a yellow hue, start mixing, this may turn to hard pieces of sugar but keep mixing till this melts and turns to caramel.
- Pour the caramel in the 5 by 5 or 7 by 7 inch pan, make sure the fully coat the bottom and the sides. Add some banana slices to decorate.
- For the cake; Prepare 2 – 3 bananas to make one cup, add these to a blender with the egg and milk. Add these to the baking pan with caramel.
- Cover this with foil and place this on another tray filled halfway with water. Bake these on a 175°C or 350°F preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- This may look a bit wet but should have a ‘cooked’ top with browned sides. Take this off the wet tray, wipe the bottom and chill this in the fridge for 1 – 2 hours.
- Once cooled, take the foil off and replace it with a plate, flip, slice and enjoy!
- For a higher looking cake, use a smaller pan.
- You can leave the cake in the fridge overnight instead of waiting for 1 – 2 hours.
What can you do with Bananas & Eggs?
- 2 – 3 piraso ng saging
- 1 malaking itlog
- 1 tasa ng gatas
- 2/3 tasa puting asukal
- ¼ tasa tubig
- Opsyonal: para handain ang sahog pang ibabaw; initin ng katamtamang init ang kawali, lagyan ito ng asukal at tubig, iwanin ito hangang magkulang dilaw, haluin kahit magmukang matigas na ang asukal dahil matutunaw din ito, haluin hangang mag kayumanggi ang kulay at maging karamel.
- buhos ang karamel sa 5 by 5 o 7 by 7 pulgada na pan, siguraduhing natakpan ng caramel ang bulong ibaba ng pan at ang mga gilid nito. Pwede din lagyan ng mga hiwa ng saging pang dekorasyon.
- Para sa keyk; maghanda ng 2 o 3 bananas para makagawa ng 1 tasa, idagdag to sa blender kasama ng egg, at gatas. Ilugar ito sa pan na may karamel.
- Takpan ng foil at ilugar ito sa trey na pinuno hangang sa gitna ng tubig. Lutuin sa oben na nasa 175°C o 350°F ng 1 oras at 30 na minuto.
- Magumuka itong mabasa ng konti, pero dapat ‘luto’ ang itsura ng taas. O maypagkakayumanggi ang mga glid nito. Tangalin ito sa basang trey, punasin ang ibaba at palamigin sa ref ng 1 – 2 oras.
- Pag lumamig na, tangalin ang takip at ipalit ito ng plato, ibaliktad, hatiin, at kainin!
