A Short History 

Datu Puti meaning? Literally, “Datu” is a Filipino term that means “Chief” or “Leader”, while “Puti” means “White”. This reflects the brand’s pioneer product – Vinegar. Like saying it’s the “Leading vinegar brand”. Thus the logo being a combination of a pre-colonial chieftain. This Filipino brand known for its list of products, namely vinegar, was introduced in 1975.  Created by Hernan Reyes and is still considered the #1 vinegar brand in the Philippines. It was in the 1990’s that they started to expand and make their own fish sauce and soy sauce. In the later years other products like barbecue sauce, oyster sauce, a variety of adobo sauces and more have been added into production.
