Cheesy Chicken Teriyaki Recipe :

Ingredients

For the Breading

  • 1 kilo chicken breast ( chopped )
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 large egg

For the Teriyaki Sauce

  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon ginger ( minced )
  • 3 cloves garlic ( minced )
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Sliced Quickmelt Cheese ( or any cheese )

Steps:

  1. In a bowl; mix chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cornstarch, all purpose flour and egg. Mix well. Then deep fry in a pan with hot oil at medium heat. 
  2. Fry until all these are light brown, cook in batches. Flip to cook evenly then remove from the heat. Let this rest for 15 minutes before double frying, now at high heat for 2 minutes. Set aside.
  3. In a pan at low heat, mix soy sauce, sugar, and honey until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil then add in ginger, garlic, and sesame seeds. Mix until the sauce has slightly reduced.
  4. Once bubbling and thick add back the fried chicken. Toss until fully coated. Top with quickmelt cheese, cover until it melts. Then serve.

How to make this Teriyaki Chicken with Cheese Recipe ?

To start with, clean your boneless and or skinless chicken breasts and pat dry with a kitchen towel before being sliced into bite-sized pieces. These are placed in a bowl with some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika for taste. Adding in cornstarch, all purpose flour, and a large egg to help create a crispy layer when it’s fried. Set this aside while the oil is being heated up in a pot or pan at medium heat. Fry the chicken pieces in batches to avoid these from sticking to each other and turning into big clumps. Flip once one side turns golden then place these on a strainer to cool for a bit before frying one again, but now at high heat. Double frying ensures that the chicken bits will turn crips even when being tossed in the sauce later on. Once these have turned a bit darker in color, take these out and set aside over a kitchen towel or strainer. 

To make the sauce, in a small pan at low heat, mix soy sauce, honey, and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Once this starts to boil add in minced ginger, garlic, and sesame seeds as the main aromatics. Mix until the sauce has slightly reduced and it’s thick enough that it’s bubbling. Add in the fried chicken and toss these around until fully coated. Place sliced cheese on top and cover until melted. Garnish with sliced green onions if you’d like before placing these on top of freshly cooked rice.

Paano Lutuin :

  1. Sa mangkok; haluin ang manok, asin, paminta, garlic powder, paprika, cornstarch, harina, at itlog. Iprito ang mga ito sa kawali na may mainit na mantika ilagay ito sa katamtamang init.
  2. Iprito ang mga ito hanggang mag-golden. Pag baliktarin kung kinakailangan. Pagkatapos tanggalin sa kawali at itabi ng 15 minuto bago iprito muli ngayon naman sa mataas na init ng 2 minuto. Itabi.
