Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes ( chopped )

  • 2 cans sardines ( 155 grams each )

  • 1 medium onion ( minced or grated )

  • 5 cloves garlic ( minced or grated )

  • 1/2 cup carrots ( minced )

  • 1/4 cup spring onion ( chopped )

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 large egg

  • Breadcrumbs for coating

  • Oil for frying

Directions

  • First prepare the sardines by draining them. Mash, then set aside.
  • Chop the potatoes and place in a pot with enough water to cover the potatoes. Cover and boil until soft enough to pierce with a fork. Strain.
  • Mash with a fork or masher. Mix in a bowl with the sardines, onion, garlic, carrots, spring onions, salt, pepper, all purpose flour, cornstarch, and egg.
  • Mix until well combined. Scoop and form into balls. Coat with breadcrumbs and shape however you like. Repeat until all the balls are coated with breadcrumbs.
  • Fry in a pan with hot oil at medium heat until golden. Flip if needed. Serve hot !

    Mga Sangkap :

    • 2 malalking patatas ( hiniwa )
    • 2 lata ng sardinas ( 155 gramo bawat lata )
    • 1 sibuyas ( tinadtad o ginadgad )
    • 5 butil ng bawang ( tinadtad o ginadgad )
    • ½ tasa karot ( tinadtad )
    • ¼ tasa dahon ng sibuyas ( hiniwa ng maliliit) 
    • Asin at paminta panlasa
    • 2 kutsara ng all purpose flour
    • 1 kutsara ng cornstarch
    • 1 malaking itlog

    Paano Lutuin :

    1. Una, ihanda ang mga sardinas. Salain at i-mash. Pagkatapos itabi.
