A simple, easy and delectable way to enjoy pork liver

Ingredients

  • Oil for frying

  • ½ kilo pork liver

  • 1 large onion (sliced)

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 4 – 6 tablespoons calamansi juice

  • ¼ cup water

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Pepper (to taste)

Directions

  • In a pan at high heat, heat some oil, and add the pork liver. Cook these till they’ve changed in color. Once both sides have changed in color, take these off the pan.
  • In the same pan, melt some butter and add a bit of oil. Add in half the onions and cook till these are translucent, add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  • Place back the cooked liver into the pan; pour in the soy sauce, calamansi juice, and water. Cook this for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add in the remaining onions and cook these for 2 – 3 minutes. Turn off the heat.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Sahog

  • Mantika pang prito
  • ½ kilo pork liver
  • 1 malaking sibuyas (hiwahiwa)
  • 3 butil ng bawang (tinadtadd)
  • ¼ tasa soy sauce
  • 4 – 6 kutsarang kalamansi juice
  • ¼ tasa tubig
  • 2 kutsarang mantikilya
  • Pepper
  • Salt

Paano lutuin

  1. Sa kawali na may malakas na init, initin ang mantika at ilagay ang pork liver. Lutuin ang mga ito hanggang magiba ng kulay. Pag naluto na ang bawat gilid, tanggalin sa kawali.
  2. Sa parehong kawali, tunawin ang mga mantikilya at lagyan ng konting mantika. Lagyan ng kalahating sibuyas at lutuin hanggang maganinag, samahan ng bawang at lutuin ang mga ito ng 30 segundo.
  3. Ibalik ang nilutong pork liver sa kawali; ibuhos ang soy sauce, kalamansi juice, at tubig. Lutuin ang mga ito ng 8 o 10 minuto.
  4. Lagyan ng asin at paminta panlasa. Dagdagan ng natitirang sibuyas at lutuin ang mga ito ng 2 – 3 minuto. Patayin ang init.
