Sinabawang Itlog with Pechay Recipe
Ingredients :
- 2 bunches pechay ( chopped, with the leaves and stem seperated )
- 3 medium eggs
- 3 cloves garlic ( minced )
- 1 medium onion ( chopped )
- 2 medium tomatoes ( chopped )
- Chicken broth cube ( optional )
- 5 to 6 cups water
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fish sauce to taste
- 2 small misua
- Oil for frying
Steps :
1. First, beat the eggs. In a pan with a bit of oil, fry the eggs while scrambling it. Set aside.
2. In the same pan, add a bit of oil, saute garlic until aromatic. Add in onions and cook until softened. Cook in the tomatoes.
3. Once the tomatoes are soft enough to crush. Mix in the pechay stalks, chicken broth cube, salt, and pepper. Pour in water and bring to a boil.
4. Give it a taste, add fish sauce to taste. Place in scrambled eggs and misua. Cook until the misua softens. Add in the pechay leaves, cook until the leaves have wilted.
5. Serve and Enjoy !

Rinse and remove any damaged parts like the wilted or leaved with big holes then make sure to dry thoroughly, setting it aside at room temperature to air dry for a few minutes or pat dry with a kitchen towel. - Additional Ingredients
- Sinabawang Itlog with Pechay and Chicken – you can add more protein by adding chicken. While you can choose to cook chicken parts with the seasonings. For more convenience and quicker cooking time, use ground chicken, cook these together with the aromatics until these change in color, or you can also shred cooked chicken and add these in the end with the egg and misua.

- How to store
- Place in an airtight container or ceramic bowl with a lid ( or use cling wrap to cover ) Make sure these have cooled completely before storing.
- This can be kept in the fridge for a week or more, and in the freezer for almost a month.
- Thaw out if frozen for a few minutes to an hour before reheating in a microwave or pan with a bit of water to avoid the bottom from burning.

Paano Lutuin :

- Sa parehong kawali, dagdagan ng konting mantika at lutuin ang mga bawang hanggang mabango. Haluan ng sibuyas at lutuin hanggang lumambot. Ihalo at lutuin ang mga kamatis.
- Pag lumambot na ang mga kamatis. Haluan bg tangkay ng pechay, chicken broth cube, asin, at paminta. Ibuhos dito ang tubig at pakuluin.
- Tikman, haluan ng patis. Ibalik dito ang linutong itlog at miswa. Lutuin hanggang lumambot ang misua. Haluan ng dahon ng pechay at lutuin hanggang lumamanta ang mga dahon.
