  1. Place the pork chop slices in a bowl. Pour in calamansi juice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and some pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan. Sear the pork slices till browned. Cook these by batches, flipping till both sides are cooked. Repeat till all the pork chops are cooked.
  3. In the same pan, cook white onions, saute till aromatic. Add back the pork chops and mix well. Pour in the leftover marinade and sugar. Mix, cover and simmer at medium heat till pork is tender.
  4. Uncover and add in more onions (optional), toss and cook for a minute before serving.
