Sweet and Spicy Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients
  

  • 600 grams shrimp
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 whole garlic minced
  • 3 pieces red chillies chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons calamansi juice
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar optional
  • Parsley garnish
  • Oil for sauteing

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan, saute the shrimps until these change in color or turn orange. Then take these out of the pan.

For the Spicy Garlic Shrimp Sauce

  • In the same pan, melt butter and saute garlic for a minute. Mix in chillies, oyster sauce, and ketchup. Pour in calamansi and black pepper to taste. Stir until well combined.
  • Mix in sugar. Cook until the sauce has reduced slightly and thickened. Add back the shrimps and toss until these are well coated with the sauce.
  • Cover and cook for a minute. Garnish with parsley before serving.
