Garlic Buttered Shrimp with Corn

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kilo shrimp
  • 2 medium sweet corn sliced into quarters
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 whole garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 4 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • ½ cup Sprite or 7Up
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fried Garlic Spring onions optional

Instructions
 

  • Place the corn cobs in a pot. Pour in enough water to cover the corn. Cover and boil until the corn is tender. Set aside.
  • In another pan, melt butter and saute garlic until aromatic. Add in the shrimp. Saute until the shrimps change in color. Once these turn orange, take them off the pan.
  • Add in tomato paste and saute for a minute. Mix in oyster sauce and Sprite until well combined. Once thickened, season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix until the sauce has slightly reduced. Add in the shrimps. Toss until well coated with the sauce-around 1 minute. Mix in the cooked corn.
  • Once everything is well coated with the sauce. Garnish with fried garlic and spring onions.
