Loaf bread

large onion

Pepper to taste

bell pepper

Cheese
grated and sliced

mayonnaise
For the Coating
2
eggs
Breadcrumbs
Oil for frying
Instructions
Take a piece of bread and remove the sides. Flatten with a rolling pin. Slice the sides into cubes and set aside.
Strain the sardines. Mash the meat and mix these with onions, bell pepper, salt, pepper, chopped bread, cheese, and mayonnaise.
Place some of the filling over the flattened bread. Add more cheese. Fold and wrap the filling. Seal the sides with a fork. Set aside.
In another bowl, beat the eggs. Dip the bread in the egg, before coating in breadcrumbs. Repeat until all the ‘pies’ have been coated.
Fry until golden in a pan with some oil at medium heat. Flip if needed. Enjoy fresh out of the pan.
