  1. Prepare the pechay by rinsing these in running water. Then chop these into small pieces. Place them into a bowl and set aside.
  2. To prepare the tofu, slice these into bite-sized pieces. Heat some oil in a pan for deep frying. Fry the tofu till it turns light brown in color. Take these out and set aside.
  3. In another pan heat some oil for sautéing, cook the garlic before adding in the onions, then the tomatoes. Saute till tomatoes turn soft.
  4. Add in the pechay and mix well. Cover and simmer for 2 minutes till the leaves wilt. Uncover and give it a good stir before mixing in pepper, soy sauce, and oyster sauce.
  5. Cover again and cook for 2 – 3 minutes. Add in the fried tofu and mix till the tofus are coated in the sauce. Serve and enjoy!

First by chopping the tofu or ‘tokwa’ into bite-sized pieces, then in a pot of hot oil carefully add in the tofu, mixing often till the tofu pieces turn a nice light brown.   1. Ihanda ang mga pechay, hugasin o banlawan ang mga ito sa tubig. Pagkatapos hiwain ang mga pechay ng maliliit. Ilagay sa mangkok at itabi.
