Ingredients

  • 3 pieces potatoes (medium sized)

  • ½ cup onion (chopped)

  • ½ cup bacon bits

  • 1 – 2 tablespoons garlic powder

  • ½ or 1 teaspoon paprika

  • Pinch of salt

  • Pinch of pepper

  • Parsley for topping

Directions

  • Peel the potatoes.
  • In a pot add enough water to cover the potatoes, boil the potatoes for 10 – 15 minutes to remove the starch, or till you can easily pierce a fork in the potatoes.
  • Strain and set aside to cool to room temperature, cut these to bite sized chunks after.
  • In a pan at medium heat, cook the bacon till crispy, then take them out. Using the remaining oil sauté the onions till translucent then take them out of the pan.
  • In the same pan add a tablespoon of oil and the potatoes; fry each side till it browns. Once most of them have browned, add back the bacon and onions, sprinkle salt and pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well.
  • Serve topped with parsley.

Notes

  • You can also not peel the potatoes if you find the skin thin enough.
  • When cooking the potatoes, if the pan feels dry add more oil
  • Add sour cream or yogurt if you want to give it a little bit of a contrasting taste a creamy mouth feel.

  • ½ tasa sibuyas (tadtad)
  • ½ tasa bacon bits
  • 1 – 2 kutsarang garlic powder
  • ½ o 1 kutsaritang paprika
  • Kapiranggot ng asin
  • Kapiranggot ng paminta
  • Parsley pang dekorasyon

Paano lutuin

  1. Tanggalin ang mga balat ng patatas.
  2. Sa isang palayok lagyan ng tubig at ang patatas, siguraduhing natatakpan ng tubig ang mga patatas. Pakuluin ng 10 – 15 na minuto para matangal ang starch, o hanggang malambot na ito na pwedeng tusukin ito ng tinidor.
  3. Salain at itabi para palamigin, hatiin ito ng maliliint na piraso.
  4. Sa kawali ng may katamtamang unit, lutuin ang bacon hangang malutong, tangalin pagkatapos. Gamit ang natitirang mantika lutuin ang sibuyas hanggang lumambot, tangalin sa kawali.
  5. Sa parahong kawali lagyan ng 1 kutsarang mantika at ang mga patatas, lutuin ang bawat pantig hangang mag kayumanggi, pag madamidami na ang nagkulay kayumanggi ibalik ang bacon at sibuyas, wisikan ito ng asin, paminta, garlic powder, at paprika. Haluin ng mabuti.
  6. Ihanda ng may parsley.
