HOW TO COOK GINISANG SAYOTE WITH ITLOG

Ginisang sayote with egg is as simple as sauteeing any other vegetables. Start with preparing your sayote. Cut it in half, and then in quarters. You will notice a hard pith at the center and you need to remove them before slicing the sayote into strips. Heat some oil in a pan and saute the aromatics including the tomatoes. Add your sayote and saute it well. At this point, the sayote strips are still hard and crunchy which is why you need to add a little bit of water and let it simmer. The last step would be adding your whisked eggs and stirring the dish gently until the eggs become small yellow curdles.  That’s how easy the ginisang sayote with itlog is! Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized sayote

  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 medium-sized onion (chopped)

  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • water (as needed)

Directions

  • Peel the sayote and cut into small strips while slice the tomatoes thinly. Crack the eggs in a bowl and whisk.
  • Heat some oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic for a few seconds until light brown.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and sayote strips and sauté for a minute. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add a little amount of water. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until the sayote is tender.
  • Pour the whisked eggs and stir gently until the eggs are cooked.
  • Transfer the ginisang sayote with itlog in a serving plate and enjoy with a bowl of hot steaming rice!

Paano Magluto ng Ginisang Sayote with Itlog

MGA SANGKAP:

  • 2 sayote
  • 2 piraso ng kamatis
  • 2 malalaking itlog
  • 1 sibuyas (hiniwa)
  • 2 butil ng bawang (hiniwa ng maliliit)
  • asin at paminta
  • tubig

PAANO LUTUIN:

  1. Balatan ang sayote at hiwain ito sa maliliit na piraso. Hiwain ng maninipis ang mga kamatis. Batihin ang mga itlog sa isang bowl.
  2. Magpainit ng mantika at igisa ang sibuyas at bawang hanggang maging light brown.
  3. Ilagay ang kamatis at sayote strips at igisa ng isang minuto. Budburan ng asin at paminta.
  4. Lagyan ng konting tubig at takpan ang kawali. Hayaang itong maluto ng 3 hanggang 5 minuto hanggang lumambot ang sayote.
  5. Ilagay ang binating itlog at haluin ng dahan-dahan hanggang maluto ito.
  6. Ilipat ang ginisang sayote with itlog sa isang serving plate at ihain kasama ang mainit na kanin. Enjoy!
